This WordPress Training Video demonstrates the new features of WordPress 2.9. The two main features that will be discussed are the introduction of the trash can and basic image editing. It used to be that when you deleted something is was gone for good. Now your deleted WordPress items will be stored in a trash can similar to Microsoft Windows. It is now a two step process to delete something. The other feature that I really like about WordPress 2.9 is the image editing. You no longer have to open Photoshop if you want to resize, crop or rotate and image. This functionality is available inside of WordPress Now.

If you are writing a series of articles and you do not want them to show up all at the same time, WordPress will allow you to have them published on your site in an automated fashion. You can just load them in and they will publish automatically. The other reason you want to set your new content to post in this manner is for seo. If Google or the other search engines see to many links showing up on the web too quickly, they may think it is spam and your authority in the serps may be downgraded. You do not want to loose your organic traffic unnecessarily.
